This Privacy Policy also applies to publicly available information from stream viewers that we collect in the course of providing the Service, such as chat messages, usernames, and participation data.

- Authentication credentials from connected platforms (Twitch, YouTube, Kick)
- Payment information (processed by Polar, our Merchant of Record)
- Media content (audio and video segments captured via optional integrations such as the OBS plugin)

Information Collected Automatically
- Log data (IP address, browser type, access times)
- Device information (device type, operating system)
- Usage data (features used, interactions with the Service)
Information from Third Parties
- Publicly available streaming platform data (chat messages, usernames, participation patterns, and stream metadata) from platforms you connect — this includes data from stream viewers who may not be StreamGlean users
- Messages and interaction data from Discord servers where GleanBot has been installed by the server administrator
- OAuth authentication data from connected platforms
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process your subscription and payments
- Analyze your streams and generate insights using automated processing technologies, including artificial intelligence

How We Share Your Information

- Cloud Infrastructure Providers: Third-party hosting, compute, and storage providers that help us operate the Service
- Payment Processors: Polar acts as our Merchant of Record for payment processing
- Technology Providers: Third-party providers of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and search services that process data solely on our behalf and under our instructions

Platform-Specific Disclosures
StreamGlean's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.
Data received from Twitch is handled in accordance with the Twitch Developer Services Agreement. We do not sell data received from any streaming platform.
You may revoke StreamGlean's access to your connected platform accounts at any time through your StreamGlean account settings or directly through the respective platform's settings. Upon revoking access, we will cease collecting new data from that platform. Previously collected data will be handled in accordance with the Data Retention section of this policy.
Automated Processing and AI
We use automated systems, including artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, to analyze stream content, generate summaries and insights, transcribe audio, detect engagement patterns, and enable semantic search across your stream history.
This processing may involve third-party technology providers who are contractually obligated to process data solely on our behalf, in accordance with our instructions, and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes, including model training.
AI-generated content, including stream summaries, engagement insights, and topic analysis, is provided for informational purposes and may contain inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of automated analysis.
Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information based on the following legal grounds:
- Contractual Necessity: Processing required to provide the Service you have subscribed to, including stream analysis and insight generation
- Legitimate Interest: Processing for fraud prevention, service improvement, and security purposes, where our interests do not override your fundamental rights
- Consent: Where you have given specific consent, such as for optional communications — you may withdraw consent at any time
- Legal Obligation: Processing required to comply with applicable laws and regulations
For publicly available chat data from stream viewers who are not StreamGlean users, we process this information on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the Service to our subscribers, balanced against the limited privacy impact of processing publicly available information.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
Stream analysis data, including generated insights, summaries, and engagement metrics, is retained as a core feature of the Service for as long as your account is active. This data may include aggregated and derived information from stream chat participants.
